They Call Me “Coach” (Sometimes)

A significant part of my role in my network marketing business is to communicate to budding entrepreneurs the strategies and methods that can lead to a reimagined lifestyle -- that can enable them to escape the corporate grind and pursue financial independence.

In my system, the “Collaborative Marketing Process for Financial Freedom,” my main goal is to educate and motivate, while being passionate and positive. I want to provide prospects and team members with the tools they will need to succeed, and help them develop personally.

Like business coaches, I want to change hearts and minds and offer direction. They often discuss the importance of illuminating the big picture, while at the same time zeroing in on the fundamentals. You walk a tightrope between broad concepts and specific principles, help them build a foundation, and understand that the sky's the limit.

As a leader, one thing I want to make abundantly clear is that I was once in their shoes. Having emerged from the corporate world over two decades ago to embrace network marketing, I feel like I have something to offer prospects, and offer it I shall -- most notably through the masterclass that can be found on this website, but also through my books and my various speaking engagements, all over the world.

I see a lot of myself in John Wooden (1910-2010), the late, great American basketball coach and inspiration for the title of this piece, “They Call Me Coach,” as it was also the title of his 1972 book. Years ago he compiled the principles necessary for success in his sport, calling it the Pyramid of Success. It contained many of the same qualities that are essential in the business world -- industriousness, cooperation, enthusiasm, initiative, poise, confidence, etc. -- and led to the pyramid’s pinnacle: “Competitive Greatness.” 

That’s the point I want everyone to reach in their careers, which is why I lay everything out for them in my masterclass. In it, I point out four ways that income is generated -- by being an employee or self-employed, or by being a business owner and investor -- and that, stunningly, 95 percent of the global population falls into those first two categories, but earns just five percent of the wealth. 

As a result, I believe collaborative marketing has great potential, as it will provide you  with financial freedom, time freedom, a proven business model, a turnkey business solution, the ability to tap into technology, lifestyle choices, tax write-offs and the ability to realize your dreams.

Along the way I quote J. Paul Getty (1892-1976), the late American industrialist: “I would rather have one percent of 100 people’s efforts than 100 percent of my own efforts.”

Those who succeed in network marketing do so not only as a result of their own attributes -- things like attitude, coachability, goal-setting and communication skills -- but also by leveraging technology. Social media, automation and online buying aren’t going anywhere. Neither is remote work.

I believe that through my system you can earn not only linear income, where you do the work and get paid, but also leveraged income, where you’re pulling in money from various sources at the same time, and residual income, where the work is done once but the profits roll in forever -- as is the case with artists and musicians. (Did you know, for example, that Elvis Presley’s estate earned $39 million in royalties in 2019, some 42 years after the iconic singer’s death?)

In other words, there is a world of opportunity in network marketing. And it is because of this that I want to help aspiring entrepreneurs reach their own potential through my coaching. There are skills that can be learned, pathways that can be followed.
